The Queen Inn is a very handsome and welcoming establishment set amid some lovely countryside in Upper Cwmbran. This pristine whitewashed inn began life in 1824 as three cottages.
The interior decor and furnishings are a tasteful mix of traditional and modern. Owners Gareth and Jane Edwards and their helpful and friendly staff offer a high standard of quality and service. There are always two regularly changing real ales on tap, together with a good selection of lagers, wines, spirits, cider, stout and soft drinks.
Everything from bar meals to full meals, including specialities such as steaks and the hearty and delicious Sunday lunch, make up the menu with something to suit every taste. The superb garden includes an impressive children's adventure playground.
3 miles south of Pontypool on the A4051.
